kau laksana...bintang malam.

just listen to the song...

this song was written by Ahmad Nawab and was sung by Saloma.
the song was taken from the film "Do Re Mi".

Saloma was a great Malaysian singer / actress and married to another great Malaysian artist, P. Ramlee.

cake.....

Courteousness is like a fancy cake. Every “please…” is like the sweet creamy icing/frosting and each “thank you…” is like the colourful sprinkles, and every smile is like the red shiny cherry. The courteous person is like the soft spongy cake base.

A FOODIE'S TAKE ON...sweet and spicy!

sweet and creamy air bandung, a drink made of rose flavoured cordial and layered with unsweetened evaporated milk. so, "where's the sweet part?" you might ask. well, the sweetness of the drink is actually from the cordial itself.

well, what goes better with something as sweet as this (other than me, of course, hehehe...)?

a bowl of hot, spicy, sour and tangy tom yam. tom yam is actually a traditional dish from Thailand; but due to massive "fussioning", tom yam's recipe varies according to different preferences. shown here, is a seafood and vegetable version of it.

how was it? yummy!

poetry with picture 2

awan jingga
awan jingga
beralun perlahan
                -terlalu perlahan seakan pegun terus
ia sudah puas bermain dan belayar
sejak pagi

adakah ia enggan pulang tidur;
di balik tirai biru tua?

the orange cloud
the orange cloud
drifting slow
-too slow as if frozen still
been playing and sailing
since morning

was it reluctant to sleep
behind the dark blue veil?

time to play

my Year 6 boys and girls
were really enjoying themselves
very much!

it was
one very tiring week
for the Year 6 students,
where they had to sit
for the Pre-UPSR exam
beginning from Tuesday
until Thursday.

Very kasihan (pity)
they didn't have
that many chance
to play.

so,
when given the chance,
these kids
really play hard
around the field...
and of course,
i will take the chance
to play along too.

hehehehe....

the smiling moon

he smiled
right there
calm

soon comes
the night
quiet

he smiled
right there
sincere

late still
the night
comes

he smiles
‘tis night
now

bulan yang tersenyum

dia tersenyum
di situ
tenang

akan tiba
si malam
senyap

dia tersenyum
di situ
ikhlas

lambat lagi
si malam
tiba

dia tersenyum
t’lah malam
kini
