menjadi hujan

jutaan mutiara yang menjadi pelayar
di tabir biru
mengembara, memilih, menanti restu,
dariNya yang memperkenankan doa
dari benua-benua yang ketandusan
agar menjadi hujan
tanda keberkatan serta kasih
yang kekal abadi
menjadi sajak
"menjadi hujan"

Yasmin's Quote

I wept recognising that no one was perfect, and that if we expected to be loved for all our imperfections, why are we so reluctant to accept and forgive the imperfections of others?

terfikir sekejap...

Terfikir sekejap, kenapa ada orang yang terlalu obses hendak menjadi kurus? sanggup tak mahu makan, telan pil diet macam-macam, bersenam macam nak ikut Olimpik... ada banyak lagi manusia yang kelaparan di dunia ni, and being hungry wasn't their choice at all.

hmm, there's this friend of mine (and i'm not going to point finger)who said, "kau tuk gemok gilak dah. sik maok diet kah? i.e. "you'e now too fat. you don't want to go on a diet?"

please, don't judge me for being fat. i like who i am, and i am not judging you for looking like a single chopstick. i have many friends yang kurus, kurus kering ada, kurus cantik macam Tyra Banks ada, kurus hensem macam Aaron Aziz pun ada.... and thank God diaorang ni tak pulak berfikir dua kali to be my friends. Alhamdulillah.

(don't worry *****, you're still my friend, i am not kecik ati)

eat...and be thankful that you could!

just now i went further into annielennox.com and found this interesting article on obesity. well, annie didn't say much about obesity, she talked more about people going to bed feeling hungry, and children who are malnourished. here are a few points to ponder....

Every year 15 million children die of hunger
For the price of one missile, a school full of hungry children could eat lunch every day for 5 years
Throughout the 1990's more than 100 million children will die from illness and starvation. Those 100 million deaths could be prevented for the price of ten Stealth bombers, or what the world spends on its military in two days!
The World Health Organization estimates that one-third of the world is well-fed, one-third is under-fed one-third is starving- Since you've entered this site at least 200 people have died of starvation. Over 4 million will die this year
One in twelve people worldwide is malnourished, including 160 million children under the age of 5.
Nearly one in four people, 1.3 billion - a majority of humanity - live on less than $1 per day, while the world's 358 billionaires have assets exceeding the combined annual incomes of countries with 45 percent of the world's people
One out of every eight children under the age of twelve in the U.S. goes to bed hungry every night
Half of all children under five years of age in South Asia and one third of those in sub-Saharan Africa are malnourished
Malnutrition is implicated in more than half of all child deaths worldwide - a proportion unmatched by any infectious disease since the Black Death
Every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger
It is estimated that some 800 million people in the world suffer from hunger and malnutrition, about 100 times as many as those who actually die from it each year

Alhamdulillah, i am in Malaysia, i am able to work, i am able to eat, and syukur, i am able to live in peace.

i thought i was the only one....

LAdies and gentlemen, i introduce to you,MR. BEAR.

okay, i confess! i have a teddy bear. well, correction, now i have two teddies. both of them are brown in color. my first teddy was given to me by my friend on my (?)th birthday. he said that the teddy looked cute, like me! Yelah tu....and recently, also for my (?)th birthday, another one of my friend gave me my second teddy. Gosh, both teddies looked so cute! But now there's a problem...my friends said that i'm a pathetic adult with two stuffed animals. here lies the issue of eccentricity, yes, i am a pathetic adult, and yes, i shouldn't keep stuffed animals anymore. but, i like to think that anyone, and i mean ANYONE can do whatever he or she wants. in my case, i like stuffed animals. takkan itu pun hendak dipersoalkan...dah sik ada modalkah? ala... my teddies don't bite lah...but how i wish they could, biar dia dua gigit those people who like to judge others. hmm, there are others in this world who keeps teddies, even longer than i am. here's one, and this person is Annie Lennox. this is an article from her blog.

malam
tidak berbintang
menghampar kabus yang lambat – lambat
menenggelamkan rimba dan bukit

masih hidup lagi
nyawa malam yang mersik
berbunyi dan berbisik
berpadu dalam satu nada
menyanyikan irama rimba malam
dari balik tirai kabus
yang lambat – lambat
menenggelamkan rimba dan bukit

kutahu bunyi rimba malam
yang mersik itu
datang dari hatiku
yang menembusi
kabus
yang lambat – lambat
menenggelamkan malam
