here's my latest video project;
and it was BIG! my biggest video project ever!
there were about over 70 children
(yuppp! that's right...70!)
modeled for this video....
and it took me almost four and a half hours
to group, choreograph and direct 
the students.....
aduiiii........


and then, when recording was over...
it's back to the computer....
and it took me about 5 days to compile
and edit everything.....


there were two other versions 
but i think this one is my favourite
because it is more "carefree" 
and it's the liveliest of the versions......

 I shot this video using my PANASONIC HM-TA1 Full HD mini-camera. To me, this video camera is by far, my personal favourite at the moment. It is small and cute, and at first glance it might look like a common camera-phone. Looks can be deceiving, and because of that, I managed to shot this video. The people featured in this video didn’t mind to be recorded, maybe because they thought I was actually text-messaging. Little that they know, they were being recorded. Hahaha…

                This video is also my first attempt at creating a ‘one shot” video; and also my second attempt at reversed video technique. I have been trying to capture a “one-shot-worthy moments” to be made into a video. Few have been made, but on the 15^th March 2011, my wish came true. As I was on my way to Sarikei town, I saw these two lovely grannies chit-chatting (in Chinese) on the bus. The journey to Sarikei town actually took 45 minutes, and maybe because of that, the grannies fell asleep halfway to town. At that very moment, the song that was playing on my mp3 was Crosstown Traffic by White Shoes And The Couples Company. Thank God…. I was inspired at that spur-o-the moment.

                Pity, the video wasn’t at its best quality yet. At some time, the video was a bit rocky, but please, it was a handheld video camera, plus, the bus was moving quite fast. But, interestingly still, the two old grannies enjoyed their trip on the bus; that they slept all the way to town.

                So, everyone, here it is, I bring to you, my latest video project, featuring three complete strangers. I dubbed this video; “The Sleeping Poh-Pohs”.

on being lazy and uninspired!

ever had one of those days where nothing feels inspiring enough? well, i had one of the day before.
when uninspired, i would always be looking for something ...or anything to keep me inspired.

but not on the day that i made this short, very very very short video.

i began by folding a blue paper crane, took out my camera, and start taking pictures of it. but still, i was bored of it. though bored, i kept on processing the video until laziness kicked in. and i stopped halfway of making the video.

the video end up running for only 23 seconds.
this very short video was then dubbed,
"A LAZY-DAY STOP MOTION".

here it is, at my lazy most!

here's a new one from me. another unofficial video to a song by White Shoes and The Couples Company. this one will be played during our school's Year End ceremony. this video features my Year 6 students. the video took two days to shoot, due to bad weather. i shot some scenes on the first day, then cancelled the second day of the shooting, then shoot again on the next day. the video almost didn't made it. but, here it is now, completed. plus, there are three different versions for this video.

here’s a new unofficial video from me. 
I made this video featuring a number of students 
of SK Nanga Kain, 
which is the place where I am teaching right now. 
The students featured here are of different age groups.

 I got the idea for this video 
when I was looking at three students 
(not featured in the video) 
walking up and down the stairways 
collecting leaves and twigs. 


Then, the idea came to me. 
“Aggi, get me my camera and tripod. Quick!” 
When it was time to start shooting, 
I gathered a few students to model. 
Scenes after scenes, takes after takes, 
and it was done. Next, what song? 
Hmm….. Well, at the time of shooting, 
I got my discman on and listening to the new album 
by White Shoes & The Couples Company. 
The song was Zaman Remadja (English:Adolescence). 
So, what does adolescence got to do 
with children running silly here and there? 
I don’t know…………….

inspired and running silly

here are snapshots of group photos i took yesterday. i made another video project featuring these kids. the video will be premiered during our school's Year End Ceremony. this was the quickest, and i must say, the easiest one to make. the secret, well, let the children run and be silly. do the same act for few times, and bam.....there you have it. more info coming up soon.
