dah nak sampai 

ke penghujung ramadhan dah kiteerrr...

cerita kat blog pun dah semakin kurenggg kannn...

nah... i persembahkan kat u'ols...

pemandangan bazaar ramadhan 

di pekan Sarikei

pemandangan hari-hari terakhir ramadhan 

tahun ni...

suasana nya tak semeriah di awal-awal ramadhan...maklumlaaa..

banyak dah warga Sarikei 

yang dah balik kampung 

untuk menyambut Aidilfitri.

tapi, dengan adanya 

bazaar ramadhan macam ni

senang sikit laaa makcik-makcik, 

kakak-kakak, dan para bini 

menyediakan persiapan raya....

tak perlu bersusah payah jugak 

nak memasak untuk hidangan berbuka puasa. Lepak jaaaa kat bazaar ramadhan, 

tunjuk dan bayar sejaaa...

dah siap semuanya...gtewwwsss

Pilihan memang banyak....

bukan setakat hidangan untuk berbuka... bermacam jenis kuih-muih, biskut dan kek lapis untuk Aidilfitri pun boleh dibeli. 

tinggal bayar je lagi.... 

Hehehe....

so, di sini i tunjukkan 

serba sedikit suasana 

bazaar ramadhan bandar Sarikei 

di penghujung bulan puasa. 

Kat sini pun i nak ambil peluang untuk mengucapkan selamat meneruskan ibadah puasa.... dan SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDLIFITRI untuk semua pembaca blog i 

yang syantik niiii....

memang meriah sentiasa

bermula dari hari pertama Ramadhan 

sehinggalah ke hari ni

tinggal tiga hari lagi nak berhari raya 

the one thing that i like about 

Sarikei' Ramadhan Bazaar is the traffic...

i mean; visitors to the bazaar could easily move 

from one stall to another 

with the greatest of ease

yes, it was crowded, i must admit,

but, the food stalls are properly allocated 

that anyone could just move freely

among the huge crowd.

seluruh Sarawak mengalami kejadian black-out
akibat masalah teknikal yang berlaku
di stesen janakuasa Bintulu-Kemena.

tapi yang menariknya
jalanraya dihiasi dengan 
cahaya lampu dari kereta dan motosikal....
and families got together for dinner
sambil disinari cahaya lilin.

and maybe....
for the first time,
everybody got the chance to look up
to the night sky.

i enjoyed my journey yesterday....
going back to Kapit;
from Sarikei...via Bintangor

but what i like most about my journey was....
the bus ride...
yapp...i prefer public transport
ye lahhh kann...jimat penggunaan minyak,
tak mencemarkan alam sekitar....
dan murah....

*motiffff sangat laaa takdak lesen memandu!*

haaaa....
masakan Cina kerrr? 
yapp...ni kuih tradisional Cina....
teruskan membaca.....

紅龜粿
or Ang Ku Kue as it was known in Chinese
is a wonderful kueh...or dumpling.
nowadays, this kueh is a favourite not only among the Chinese,
but also to the Malays, Indians and many other different races in Malaysia....

in Bahasa Malaysia, 

this kueh literally means 

"kuih kura-kura merah" 

or "red tortoise dumpling" in English. 

this kueh is made using glutinous flour, 

and for the filling...

it can either be sweetened red bean paste 

or groundnut paste mixed with white sugar.

the red colour comes from red food colouring. 

i love eating this kueh....

because of it's sweetness and stickiness...

hehehe..or maybe because it is red...

haaaaa......

sanggup jenguk blog aku 
sebab nak tengok apa yang aku makan 
gitewwww....

okaylahhh...
ni dia satu hidangan yang best banget!
roti bakar AIK SENG Restaurant, Sarikei....

tengok laaaa...
memang sedap sangat!
roti dibakar sekejap...
kemudian disapukan mentega kacang,
serikaya dan mentega....

kemudian roti bakar ni ditunangkan lagi 
dengan secawan kopi O kaw....
haduiiii.....memang best laaa....

sebab itu laaa
kebanyakan penduduk Sarikei kata
"roti tunok Aik Seng nang nyaman ehhh...."

memang cepat bukak mata yerrr....
ketara sangat kuat makan....
tak macam i yang molek nih...
makan setakat untuk hidup jerrr...
(yeeee leee tuuuuu.......)

okeyyy...
my next dish in this segment....
something Indonesian...
here is bakso. 

BAKSO
meaning - beef balls, but there are a few variants, 
there's chicken bakso, bakso ikan(fish), 
bakso udang(prawn) bakso telur(egg)
and there's this very special one;bakso tenis,
meaning - tennis ball bakso! 
yuppp...you can actually eat tennis ball!
JUST KIDDING! 
it is actually beef balls the size of a 
- you guessed it - tennis balls!

BAKSO is originally an Indonesian recipe,
but it has a hint of Chinese influence...
the word "bakso" is a twist of the Hokkien words
肉酥 - pronounced as 'bah-so', meaning shredded meat. 

well, bakso is usually served with noodles or vermicelli, or sometimes kuey teow
and always in a bowl of beef broth or soup. 
this bakso that i'm featuring is available at 
Popular Food Court in Sarikei....




best eaten during this rainy season!

jemput makan : NASI LEMAK

nasi lemak.....atau dalam bahasa orrreng puteehhhh -
rice fat! hahahahaha....

no laaa...there's no such thing as 'rice fat'.
if 'nasi lemak' is what it was in Bahasa Malaysia;
then, 'nasi lemak' it will be in English language.
hammmboiiiihhhh...berhabok spekking gitewww kan nyah?
motifff?

okeyyy...nasi lemak here actually means
fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk.
then, the word 'lemak' here also means 'creamy'.

nasi lemak is a traditional dish famous among the Malays.
but nowadays, nasi lemak has won the hearts of every Malaysians.
the condiments vary according to one's personal preference;
some like it with extra spicy anchovy sambal,
some might even want it with curry,
some like it with pickles,
some like it with pineapple chutney...
and...psstt...some even like it with tempoyak!
what's tempoyak? well, it's fermented durian curds.

anyway, it's anyone for their liking....
so, come to Malaysia, and enjoy a plate of 
very yummy nasi lemak.

My August : tertidur keletihan berhari raya

hehehehe....

meronda-ronda
sepanjang Hari Raya Aidilfitri yang kedua
dah puas minum sirap, air bergas, 
makan biskut, makan kek lapis Sarawak
kemudian meronda-ronda 
sekitar bandar Sarikei
melepak dan makan-makan lagi 
di KFC
kemudian cari-cari port untuk bergambar
berposing sakan diaorang ni...

hehehe...semalam sibuk sangat
and keletihan dan tertidur awal
sampai tak sempat nak update cerita 
kat blog i ni...hehehehehe

okey laaaa, cerita semalam dicerita hari ni...
you all anggap je laaa cerita ni kunun-kunun
ditaip semalam....

okey...suasana pagi Hari Raya Puasa yang meriah...
sangat meriah...sampai tak menang tangan 
melayan tetamu yang datang.....

keluarga sebelah makcik-pakcik ada datang, 
sepupu-sepapat...
anak-anak saudara...
cucu-cucu i pun ada datang....
hahaha...kertusss sangat bunyi nye kannnn...
laris ketupat, kelupis, kari ayam dan kurma daging...
hehehehehe....

anyway,

Kronologi : Kapit to Sarikei (Part 3)

tiba di Sarikei...

and, finally...
arrived in Sarikei. 
but yesterday it was raining 
so, it just happened that i was inspired

well, as always...to take these two pictures 
using my camera phone 
- because the colour scheme is just correct.
unlike the digital camera that i used before, 
the pictures just didn't have that evening feel....

SARIKEI : the alley-shop

okay....
out of all the photos that i took yesterday....
this one looked the best....
well...to me;at least!
hehehehe....

so, this picture shows an area in Sarikei
where alley-shops still exist, 
regardless if the small shops are famous...or not!

ah, the old-skool vibe is still lingering 
in my beautiful Sarikei....
