run...kids, run!

hehehe...let's forget about my so-called secret for a while.

a few weeks ago my school had a mini sports-day event. practically, the teachers and staffs were all busy with the mind-blowingly (is there such word?) packed schedule. mind you, everyone was in charge of something; and i was in charge of photography and videos. the warmth of the equatorial sun, the gentle dry breeze and the coolness of the soft grass beneath our feet were minusculed (again..is there such word?) by the excitement of the students running around the field. such innocence, carefree spirit and joy.

hush....i've a secret...

i'm planning a project now, and it'll be my last project for this year. hush........

what the world needs now

Dove and olive branch

In JudaismChristianity, and Islam an olive branch is a sign for peace. The Torah, The Old Testament and The Qur'an describe a story in which a dove was released by Noah after the Great Flood in order to find land. The dove came back carrying an olive branch in its beak, proof for Noah that the Great Flood had receded. (Book of Genesis 8:11).
In Greek tradition, olive branches represent peace. The plant was considered sacred to the ancient goddess of wisdom, Athena.
Defeated Roman armies displayed olive branches as a white flag to indicate surrender.
The motif can also represent "hope for peace" and even a peace offering from one man to another, as in the phrase "extend an olive branch".

Peace dove graffiti in Madrid. The Castilian Spanish "paz" translates to "peace".

turn around...turn around...

hmm...i knew that this would happen someday...and it did, today. i posted lots and lots of videos and photos on my blog, facebook and my youtube channel. and for future projects, i kept a heck-of-a-lot more videos and photos in my computer. but, to make this post interesting, let me tell you about one particular person. he kept telling me that no matter how many photos or videos i made, it would meant nothing to him. but, today, suddenly he requested for some of the photos that i kept. now, ain't it ironic. the one thing that he said wasn't significant before, was truly needed now. see who's laughing now? i'm throwing my head back in hysterical laughter.....
yup...guys, no photos for this blog.

what more would I want than a candle lit dream..?

HAPPY DEEPAVALI. for this auspicious occasion, i'm changing my blog's background color. this time, the color of Diwali, marigold yellow.

Diya or deepam or deepak (India) is a lamp made usually of clay, with wick made of cotton and dipped in ghee or vegetable oils. Clay diyas are temporary and are used for special occasions, while diyas made of brass are permanent fixtures in homes and temples. Diyas are predominantly used in Hindu religious festivals such as Diwali, are native to India, and are thus associated with and unique to Hinduism practices.

colours to brighten up your gloomy days (dedicated to a friend who's troubled)

bro, other than praying to The Lord Almighty, we should try doing things that could cheer up our moods. i don't know what mood you're in right now, but you seemed to be somber. i read this book once about emotional distress displacement (pengalihan gangguan perasaan), and the author, a lady, wrote about her journey to India, France and Bali, looking for comfort and emotional support. i don't meant that you should go to these places just to find happiness, but she suggested of other ways of finding contemplation and peace. several ways were suggested, EAT, LOVE and PRAY. but there's one way sure enough, is to communicate among your peers, or better still your loved ones. but, i have an even better suggestion, pick up some colors and start painting/sketching. anyway, best of luck and best wishes to you.

just to tease...

this is the one who kept me accompanied during editing, and preparing teaching aids. hehehe
( dah takde benda lain ke...hid oiiii? )

Super Reuni

here’s the video I’ve been working on for the past two weeks. The video took me about six days to shoot, and days to edit, arrange and prepare. The biggest hurdle whilst shooting this video was the weather. The video pays homage to the technique of film making by Michel Gondry, evident in the third scene, similar to the White Stripe’s The Hardest Button To Button music video, and White Shoes and The Couples Company’s music video; Windu Dan Defrina.

Disclaimer: The video contains the audio track SUPER REUNI by White Shoes And The Couples Company. The video was made with the purest intention and wasn’t meant to violate the copyright ownership of the song. The video was made solely for entertainment purposes, and I will not benefit from it financially. This video was not the official video for the song. I own the copyright ownership of the stock footage and still images, and White Shoes And The Couples Company owns the copyright ownership for the song. I would like to extend my sincerest thanks and gratitude to the band for their understanding on the above matter. Thanks.

My Personal Pick - M. C. Escher

what do you think of these prints? aren't they're great? these prints were created by MC Escher. details from WIKIPEDIA about this artist and his works.

Puddle is a woodcut print by the Dutch artist M. C. Escher, first printed in February 1952.
Since 1936, Escher’s work had become primarily focused on paradoxes, tessellation and other abstract visual concepts. This print, however, is a realistic depiction of a simple image that portrays two perspectives at once. It depicts an unpaved road with a large pool of water in the middle of it at night. Turning the print upside-down and focusing strictly on the reflection in the water, it becomes a depiction of a forest with a full moon overhead. The road is soft and muddy and in it there are two distinctly different sets of tire tracks, two sets of footprints going in opposite directions and two bicycle tracks.

Three Worlds is a lithograph print by the Dutch artist M. C. Escher which was first printed in December, 1955.
Three Worlds depicts a large pool or lake during the autumn or winter months, the title referring to the three visible perspectives in this image: the surface of the water on which leaves float, the world above the surface, observable by the water's reflection of a forest, and the world below the surface, observable in the large fish swimming just below the water’s surface.
