Kasut Putih Menyanyikan Suburbia

these meong-meongs did it again

White Shoes And The Couples Company
released a single
soon to be be featured
on their soon-to-be released new album.

you can find the song
on youtube or soundcloud...
and may i say...it is frickin' awesome!

White Shoes & The Couples Company – Suburbia

Di suatu senja di sebuah stasiun kereta
Di sudut kota Jakarta
Peluh bercampur lelah terlihat dimuka
Masyarakat suburbia
Dan kuteringat dalam memori
Perbincangan dengan dirinya
Sustainable marine conservation topiknya
Terbuai ku dibuatnya
Coral transplantation dan illegal fishing methods adalah diantaranya
Dan kuterbayang
Dia bagaikan m’Alfredi di laut lepas
Kini gelombang
pesan lamun
Nyala harapan
mungkin sekan
Andai Professor Emmett Brown
Membuka celah
Peristiwa yang berlalu lalang
Akan kutemui dirinya
Merespon kemarin perbaiki nadaku reda
Kini gelombang
pesan lamun
Nyala harapan
mungkin sekan
Kini gelombang
pesan lamun
Nyala harapan
mungkin sekan
Kini gelombang
pesan lamun
Nyala harapan
mungkin sekan

Makan : Puding Biskut Osborne

hehehehe....
sesajerrr jerrrr nak share gambar
puding biskut Osborne ni...

actually,
i don't know the exact recipe
but i'm guessing it is much the same
as you would make bread pudding
with custard cream
except...this is made using biscuits
some kind of tasteless biscuit
not creamy, not salty, not sugar-coated
really....bland and tasteless biscuit.

so...as you can see from the picture
the biscuits were all broken to small pieces
and layered with some sort of creamy custard.

best eaten warm.....
heavenly when served chilled...
with a cup of warm tea;on the side.

hehehehehe.....

Makan : Peasant Food Fit For Kings

very simple breakfast

my sarapan...this morning

dan puding biskut Osborne

sedikit trivia....
lempeng tawar dalam bahasa-bahasa etnik
Melayu Sarawak  - disebut 'tumpik'
bahasa Iban - 'tumpek'
bahasa Melanau - 'tupek'

tambahan trivia lagi
biskut Osborne pulak...
bahasa Melayu Sarawak - beskot keben
bahasa Iban - kuey penat kibin
bahasa Melanau - koi kiben

sori yerr...kawan-kawan berbangsa Bidayuh, Orang Ulu...
i tak tau apa panggilan dan sebutan untuk
tupek dan koi kiben...kalau sudi...tell me please.

anyway...
simple kampung style breakfast like this
is wayyyyyyy more satisfying
that is when you know...you're home.

peasant food...fit for a king.

tak pasal-pasal hancorrr diet u'ols
dan menyalahkan blog i
yang sucieee murniieee
ni pulak nanti...
hehehehe....

okehh...ni dia Mi Sup Daging Berlada Putih

cara-cara nak membuat nyerrr ye bangg
abang kena tumiskan dulu
seinci halia yang dihiris nipis-nipis
bersama sebiji bawang besar yang dah dipotong halus
abang kena tumis sampai naik wangi
dan bawang tu caramelized sikit.

dah tuuu...abang masukkan semangkuk setengah air
didihkannnn sehingga wangi serumah...hahaha
then...abang masukkan sebijik sup bunjut
atau sebijik rempah sup tulang
rebus sampai semakin wangi rumah abang tu.

kemudian, humbankan sepaket daging lembu kisar
i guna yang frozen jerrr bang...senang lagi.
kalo abang nak kisar sendiri daging lembu...dipersilakan.
rebus lagi...hhmm...say about 15 minutes..
oopss...kecikkan api dulu.

kemudian, masukkan kiub pati daging lembu
sebanyak 2 bijik...
dan masukkan sesudu lada sulah...
didihkan lagi....boleh ejasss masin manis sendiri....

yerrr cik abanggg...sebelum menghidang tu...
abang boleh asingkan uncang sup bunjut tuuu.

celurkan mi laksa ataupun mi kuning...
i suka lagi guna mi laksa...
sebab dapat rasa sup nya.

okehh...sukahati abang laaaa
nak tambah sambal cili kaaa
perahan limau kaaa
kicap manis kaaa
nak letak daun sup kaaa
daun ketumbar kaaa...
terpulang laaaa pada citarasa abang yerrr...

and you might wonder....
why did i address u'ols as abang this time around
because....most of the time...this type of noodle soup
suits men...bored men with nothing to do
during the weekend...
when there's no football match on the telly

Super Simple Teachers' Day Part 1

okeyyy...sebelum bulan Mei berlalu
dan sebelum cerita ni menjadi basi
kat dalam kepala otak i
i nak sharing-sharing is caring-caring laaa
cerita tentang sambutan Hari Guru
peringkat sekolah i yang telah dibuat
pada 24 Mei yang lalu
iaitu minggu lepas.

sambutan yang serba sederhana
dibuat pada minggu terakhir
sebelum cuti semester pertama.

kitaorang tak dapat nak buat
majlis yang besar-besaran macam
Academy Award ceremony gituuu
sebab everyone was so damn busy
during the last two weeks...
heyy...works come first...so,
tak laaa tergapai-gapai dan terkenang-kenang
kerja masa cuti kannnn......

so, majlis hari guru di sekolah i
dibuat dalam tiga peringkat.

for this blogpost,
i akan ceritakan peringkat pertama
sambutan hari guru SERENGKA...
iaitu majlis sebelah pagi.

majlis pagi dimulakan sesimple-simple nyaaa
ada nyanyian Kami Guru Malaysia
ada ucapan from the Headmaster
potong kek sponsor...hahahaah
salam-salam....
berik hadiah....
then off to the gelanggang badminton
for a friendly badminton match.

gitewww jerrr
sambutan hari guru kitaorang....
as simple as a super simple buttercake.

Makan : Resepi Bakso Mamarock yang paaaliiing simple di dunia..

Good morning class.....
Good morning teacher.
How are you today class?
We are fine, thank you. How about you, teacher?
I'm fine too. Thank you for asking.

hehehehe...set induksi sekejap yerr...

okeh...ni nak sharing is caring
about a simple dish
that i made a few days back.
this is my own version of
Indonesia's favourite street food.

this is bakso...
with a wonderful beef broth
and kick-in-your-gut spicy chilli
plus yummy meatballs.

well, my version goes like this
get ready to copy and paste.

for the beef broth
fry some chop garlic and shallot
with a little oil
then pour in half a liter of water
let it boil for thirty minutes
and add in beef stock cubes...say...mmm..four cubes!
the authentic recipe will require slices of beef
some spring onion and coriander leaf to be sauteed
before you pour in the water....
but this is entirely up to you...hehehehe

for the chilli sambal....
simply crush some chillies
with some sugar...just enough
to make the chillies
more crushable (deduct my mark for grammar!)
then, pour in some vinegar.
add more sugar or vinegar
to suit your taste.

for the meatball
simply open a packet of frozen meatball
and add them into the beef broth.
let them simmerrrrr for say...thirty minutes more.

serve with a handful of glass noodles
and some sweet soy sauce...

mmm...and enjoy.
well, remember, this is my version
for bakso...if you want the authentic one
go ahead...just google "recipe+bakso"
hehehehe....
